You can’t help put have a little pep in your step when our neighborhood grass, flowers and trees begin the spring wake-up!  It’s also the signal that we are on the homestretch in this outstanding school year.

We are so unbelievably fortunate to have volunteers sogenerous with their time, and who create the success of the Book Fairs, Newsletters, Spirit Wear, Fundraising, Room Moms, Budget, and Programs and on and on.  And as each year ends, we lose a significant portion of these volunteers to Wester as their kids grow up.  It takes parents standing up and offering their help (in many ways and times) to maintain that success.  If you have ever thought about it before, but never stepped up, please do so.  I would love to individually invite each of you but that is obviously impossible.  You may consider this your personal invitation!

THE SPRING DANCE– So named because we listened to your comments on the surveys for theme variety.  Kudos to our devoted board members who helped make it so special.  SORELY missed was our DJ CoachBeeler who was home under the weather – Coach, every child I spoke with indicated they were “having a blast but where’s Coach Beeler?”  It would be crazy now not to offer a huge CHEER and give a STANDING OVATION to Mrs. Schuster, the ever-ready understudy, to keep the music up and the people “getting down!”Between her and Mrs. Hamlin, it was a total blast!  It was also so nice to have it as an event rather than afundraiser and in the spirit of Rachael’s Challenge, thebeneficiary of our donations went to stock the pantry at Frisco Family Services.

TALENT SHOW FORMS ARE OUT – Many solutions are in the works to reduce the extraordinary length of this event.  In order to keep the kids in one event together, we ask that all parents carefully review the form and understand its intentions with your signature.  Please review the act your child wishes to perform and help them practice as well as stay within the time limit.  Students may only participate in ONE talent act each year.

COMING UP IN APRIL – Election of our new PTA President & 1st VP of Finance at the general meeting.  

It’s a wonderful time of year and no matter how stressed or busy we tend to be, these kids are growing up so fast and are so incredibly gifted and delightful, we must remember to enjoy every moment!
