President's Update
When our twins were able to understand it, I convinced them that they SMELL DIFFERENT WHEN
THEY LIE and only a parent could smell it. Came in handy when both are saying they didn’t do something and then one blurts out “SMELL ME!” As they are now 9 and full of drama, I am in need of inspiration! Fortunately the PTA has a program coming up just in time. Please take a moment right now and put this date January 11th at 6:00 p.m. on your calendar then move mountains to be there! Brenda Bird is the most entertaining presenter on how to love kids with humor and creativity. Even if you only picked up one strategy the evening will be full of laughs as she is no stranger to parenting. Everyone will benefit from laughing about the absurdities, gaining some clever ideas as well as pick up some perspective that easily slips by in the daily stress of life. Really, make every effort because it’s simply too good to miss. It’s standing room only to hear her in huge conventions and we are fortunate to have her nearby.
The last couple of months have been a whirlwind and I am constantly amazed by the commitment of the Teachers, PTA members and board members to keep raising the bar. When you see one of these volunteers giving their all to make a memory for our children, please let them know you noticed and appreciate it. Heck, if you have a moment you might offer to help!? A New Year and new activities are just around the corner and all will be without one change… we will always be Groovin to the Top at Curtsinger!
