We have recently purchased a subscription to TumbleBooks.com for the students at Curtsinger to use at school and at home! TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books that were created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which students can read or have read to them. There are even books in Chinese, French, and Spanish!

To access our TumbleBooks subscription, launch Internet Explorer and type www.tumblebooks.com into the address bar. All you need is the Flash plug-in for your browser and a computer with headphones or speakers. If you find that you are unable to view the TumbleBooks from home, you may need to download the FREE plug-in for Flash animations at www.macromedia.com/downloads.

To access the books, click on the teacher/librarian link.  Then sign in at the upper right corner.  The username is curtsinger, and the password is books.

The Tumblebooks Collection includes books, games and puzzles and is available to the students at Curtsinger Elementary through next year. We hope that you will take advantage of this fabulous resource and that it will enhance your child’s reading experiences at school and at home.
