Dear Parents,

We hope you are all ready for another great year at Curtsinger Elementary! Volunteers play a vital role in the success of a school and the achievements of its students. We are fortunate at Curtsinger to have such a dedicated group of parents who are willing to devote much time and energy to the school. If you are a new volunteer, or one who is returning to help again, we are excited to have you. Involved parents help provide a rewarding learning environment for our children. We are looking forward to a fantastic year! To register as a Volunteer, please fill out the Curtsinger PTA Volunteer Form.

Only one form is needed per volunteer, even if more than one child is attending Curtsinger.

Opportunities are available in the classroom, school-wide and for special events and fundraisers.

You need no special skills, just a willingness to contribute a little of your spare time. For a description of the responsibilities of each of the available volunteer positions, please see the Volunteer Descriptions.

The Curtsinger Volunteer Form should be filled out and returned to your child's teacher. The coordinator of your area of interest will then contact you. Room and Party Parents are chosen by drawing all names out of a "hat". 

Look for more information about the meeting in the Curtsinger Courier Newsletter. All other volunteers will be contacted by teachers or event coordinators near the date volunteers are needed. Please remember that ALL volunteers in Frisco ISD are required to complete a background check each year. The district pays for the background check and provides a list of eligible volunteers to each school campus. To complete the Frisco ISD Online Volunteer Application, please do one of the following: Fill out the Frisco Volunteer Registration Form Go online to www.friscoisd.org and click on the Students/Parents tab, and then on Volunteer Form. http://www.friscoisd.org/students/form_vol.htm

Please complete this process as soon as possible. Once your application is submitted, you should receive notice from the district within 2-4 weeks. If you do not receive notice from the district, you may check status with the school office.
