Arts in Education

The purpose of the Arts in Education Committee is to educate and promote the arts through school and community programming, making the arts accessible for all students.

National PTA Programs:

• 2011-2010 Reflections Program--"Diversity means..."  The entries are in, and the judging is underway!  We will provide the Curtsinger-level results in early November.  Thanks to our young artists, photographers, writers, composers, and film directors for your creative entries!

In Our Community

• Frisco Arts:  Wanting a fun, family outing?  Consult the Frisco Arts website for art-related family fun including Children's Theatre, Collin County Ballet Theatre, Plano Symphony Orchestra, and Frisco Chorale and Community Band performances.  The site also has information regarding Visual Arts galleries, Sci Tech Discovery Center exhibits, and area businesses providing classes in the arts.  Check out their "Community" and "Now Showing" links for more information.  Your link to the arts is just a click away!  http://www.friscoarts.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=61

At Curtsinger

• The ballet is coming to Curtsinger for a daytime performance in December.  Parents are invited and encouraged to attend daytime performances, too, so keep your eye out for more information.
